The Faculty of Social Sciences & Liberal Arts offers programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels in the disciplines of Mass Communication, Psychology, English Language & Communication, and Education. Our programmes combines theory and practice and students apply their knowledge and skills in practicums, industry projects and co-operative learning attachments every year. Our vibrant, dedicated and creative team of faculty members are committed to innovation and excellence in teaching and research. Various innovative methodologies and pedagogies with a student-centred approach are adopted such as problem-based learning, experiential learning, social learning and the flipped classroom.
Responsibilities
This position requires commitment to teaching, research & scholarly activities and contribution to programme administration and management.
Requirements
Specialise in one of the following areas:
- School of Education – Early Childhood Education and English Education. (Terengganu Campus).
- Department of Psychology – Research methods, Counselling, Abnormal Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychology.
- Department of Mass Communication – Journalism, Film and TV Broadcasting, Marketing and Communication, and Video Production.
- Department of English Language and Communication – Language and Linguistics, Bilingualism, Translation and Research Methods
- Compulsory subjects :- Malaysian Studies, Moral Studies and Bahasa Kebangsaan.
Professional experience and qualifications:
- At least a PhD degree or currently pursuing PhD will have an added advantage.
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and abilities.
