5th International Piano Festival & Competition (IPFC) 2022

Since IPFC started in 2014, the Institute of Music continues to strive for its mission to be the leader in music education and musical culture in the region by providing a platform to cultivate performing arts through recitals, master classes and workshops. This year, IPFC is delighted to have 89 contestants from 10 countries (including Malaysia), and 7 international judges for the adjudication and performances. The final round adjudicators are Dr Julie Bees, Armen Babakhanian, Yen Chun-Chieh, Minoru Miura, Bobby Chen, Lena Ching and Professor Dr P’ng Tean Hwa.

AIRBUS Industry Talk

UCSI University, in collaboration with AIRBUS, organised the AIRBUS and Sustainable Development Goals talk for our students and staff. It was indeed an informative industrial talk by Raymond Lim, AIRBUS Chief Representative of Malaysia. At the same event, our students also had the opportunity to learn more about careers at AIRBUS. 

Over 150 students and staff attended the event held at UCSI University's Kuala Lumpur campus.

UCSI University receives certificates of appreciation from MOHE

UCSI University received special recognition for its contribution in making the surge of international students a success (atas sumbangan dalam menjayakan lonjakan pelajar antarabangsa) at an appreciation of higher education ceremony held by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE)- (Majlis Apresiasi Pendidikan Tinggi 2022- #KPTPrihatin), on 3 November 2022. At the ceremony, UCSI was also recognised for making the #KPTPrihatin aspirations initiative a reality through the Vaccination Centres (PPV).

Heartfelt gratitude and sincere congratulations to all 13 FRGS recipients and their team members. This is an inspiration to all UCSI academic staff to move forward in applying for other local and international research grant opportunities.

Closing Ceremony of the Intensive English programme for the students of FPT University, Vietnam

70 students from FPT University, Vietnam recently completed the 1-month Intensive English Programme at UCSI University. The fully immersive English programme benefitted and was appreciated by all of them evidenced by their testimonies at the Closing Ceremony.

Seminar on SDG9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) co-organised with the National Economic Planning Unit

The highly acclaimed seminar raised the awareness to promote active participation from different stakeholders towards building an inclusive and sustainable industry by encouraging public-private collaboration in R&D&C&I. It was graced by the Guest of Honour, YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed (Minister in Prime Minister’s Department – Economy)

365 artists join MOTAC and UCSI University to Launch the 2023 “We Share the Same Moon” Inaugural Calendar

De Institute of Creative Arts and Design (ICAD) of UCSI University has collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Malaysia (MOTAC) to launch the inaugural 2023 “We Share the Same Moon” Calendar and Art Exhibition. 365 local artists from various associations in every state have collaborated with UCSI University’s ICAD lecturers and students to create a unique calendar depicting daily moon phases during the Covid-19 pandemic period.

Six UCSI University academics listed in Stanford’s World’s Top 2% of Scientists

Congratulations to our researchers for being ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists. The list is compiled by Professor John Loanndis and his team of experts from Stanford University, cataloguing more than 100,000 scientists across the globe. These researchers of various fields and disciplines received a special grant of RM25,000 each from UCSI University.
