概述

世界卫生组织把“健康” 定义为 "完整的生理、心理和社会福祉,而不仅是没有疾病或不虚弱的状态。" 

为了实现这一目标,营养的摄入起着关键的作用。营养学是研究身体如何利用食品中的营养素,以及营养与饮食、健康和疾病之间的关系。简而言之,它会检测出人体是如何回应食入的食物。

营养学也对疾病起到一定的预防作用,它专注于研究如何透过健康饮食及生活方式的改变,预防或减少与健康有关的状况和问题。营养学也涉及鉴定饮食因素如何引起某些健康状况或问题,如不良饮食(营养不均)、食物过敏、代谢性疾病等。  

为了达到更全面的营养科学及保健学教育效果,这门课程还囊括了营养及保健、创业和营销相关课程的核心内容, 让毕业生拥有多项技能,在职场上占有优势。 这也开拓了毕业生更广阔的就业机会,得以在私人领域执业,胜任保健与营养顾问或企业家的工作。

Minimum CGPA 2.75 in a related diploma from recognised institutions.

OR

CGPA below 2.75 (above 2.00) in a related diploma from recognised institutions plus a minimum of 36 months working experience in the same field.

  • 健康和营养顾问 – 为那些已完成健康风险测试的客户提供卫生保健和营养的教育培训。
  • 营养学教育工作者/辅导员 – 帮助制定计划以教育特定人口群体有关营养、健康状况和整体健康的做法。
  • 顾问/私人诊所 – 辅导消费者对特定事宜,如改变生活方式、健康饮食和食物选择、体重管理、健身、营养、预防和健康相关事宜的教育辅导工作。
  • 公共健康营养师 – 协调和实施健康营养的政策,及参与对特别群体的对象推崇健康的生活方式、健身活动和营养摄取的计划。
  • 营养执行员(销售与市场部) – 负责营销计划的执行,以协助推广活动及营养产品,教育民众对产品的认知, 以及建立和实施一个客户数据库,推行营养产品的销售计划。
