
概述
机械电子工程领域是一个集成了各种不同工程学科的各种组件,如电子、计算机、机械工程等等,以满足此工业日益增长和复杂的需求。
机械电子系的学生将会学得工业技术的基本技能,及结合了机械、电子和计算机科学技术的知识来设计、生产、装配和维持自动化与现代化的制造系统。
此课程包括了3 大主要的工程领域:电机与电子、机械工程与自动机械及自动化工程。学生将对分析和设计复杂的系统有着基本的技巧,以应付业界的需求,同时得以面对新兴技术所带来的挑战。机械电子的实验室备有先进的设备及软件配备,以加强学生的学习体验,让他们接触到市场上最新的科技。此课程的宗旨在于为业界提供具备跨学科基本技能的新一代工程师,以管理工程任务,如设计、维修、校准及采购先进的集成系统等等。
为了栽培出具有竞争性的毕业生,学生在第二及第三年年终时也必须接受UCSI 大学所规定的企业实习计划。此企业培训计划主要是让学生适应和熟悉真实生活中的工作环境。此外,学生也在最后一学年时,必须呈上他们的研究和发展论文报告项目。
课程内容
课程为期4年的时间
每一年它有两个长学期,(包括了14周的课堂讲解、2周的考试)及一个短学期(包括了7周的课堂讲解及1周的考试时间)。长学期开始于1月和5月份,而短学期则在9月份开始。在11月及12月份,学生必须到企业或者公司进行企业实习培训的计划,以便学生能接触到真实的职场环境。此外,学生在最后一学年也必须完成一份年终的论文报告。
每周上课的时间视各科目的学分及教授的教学方法而定。通常,一个学分大约相等于每堂课的1小时,或是每周2个小时的试验室学习时间。
