
概述
化学工程师也被称为全能的工程师,精通于应用物理科学和生命科学的原理把原料转变成为实用的东西。工程师融合了化学、物理学、生物学、微生物学、生物化学和数学的原理,是一门多才多艺的领域,可以朝向多元化的发展,如纳米科技、提炼、微生物柴油生产,等等专业的领域层面。
本课程将帮助学生掌握化学工程领域的基础工程学和科学知识。其课程重点为,化学领域的技术操作核心,如材料处理、液体流动、物质和能量平衡、质量和热量转移、热力学、化学反应设计、分离过程、环境工程和石油炼制过程……等。学生除了将具备扎实的技术应用基础外,也将在学习期间接受管理技巧培训,以预备就绪应对当前行业对工程人才的要求。
在这个课程中,学生在第二及第三年时也必须参与UCSI大学与各企业合作的企业实习计划项目。企业实习计划为学生提供了一个途径,让他们除了能够培养个人发展的软技能外,同时也让学生有机会接触到行业内真实、实际的职场体验。校方也邀请著名的业内人士前来校园主讲、实地考察、实验室研究,以及厂房的实际项目等等,以强化学生的学习成果。
