Congratulations to Assistant Professor Dr Tan Choon Hui for being selected as one of the winners for the Malaysian Society for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MSMBB) EduSTEMX Grant 2022. The title of her proposal is "Food Science (STEM) to combat Climate Change and World Hunger".

Congratulations to Associate Professor Dr Crystale Lim Siew Ying for winning the MSMBB Best Scientist Award 2022 (Young Scientist Category) organised by the Malaysian Society for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MSMBB). MSMBB established the Best Scientist Awards in 2021 to recognise outstanding scientists who have made significant contributions to molecular biology and biotechnology.

Won Gold Award in a competition known as International Invention & Innovative Competition (InIIC) Series 1/2022 (https://iniicseries.weebly.com/) under the Category A2: Professional (Science, Engineering & Technology) on 25 June 2022.

Research project title: “Development of Optimized Convolutional Neural Network for Intelligent Medical Diagnosis of COVOD-19”

Appointed as the Editorial Advisory Board & Member of the Assessor Panel for Institut Koperasi Malaysia (IKM). 

Received Best Paper Award for their research entitled, "Social Media Co-creation Activities among Elderly Consumers: An Innovation Resistance Perspective" which was presented in the International Conference on Information Systems and Intelligent Applications (ICISIA 2022) on 1 & 2 July 2022.

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FPS) team led by Assoc Prof. Dr Mogana Sundari Rajagopal, Assoc Prof Dr Palanirajan Vijayaraj Kumar and Mr Hardave Singh Bhall, won the Best Innovation & Commercialization Award  for their invention (Pharmcare Sanitizer Spray). The team developed a skin friendly, moisturising sanitiser spray with 99.9% antiseptic properties. The product was commercialised through the Laurent Bleu Medical Clinic, whereby the feedback and response of the product was overwhelming. 

Congratulations to Assistant Professor Ts Dr Tan Chung Keat for his recent publication entitled, ‘Effect of Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Ceramides Supplementation on Improving Skin Barrier Functions and Depigmentation: An Open-Label Prospective Study’ in Nutrients (Impact Factor 2021 = 6.706, Tier 1 Journal in Nutrition and Dietetics) in collaboration with Nexus Wise Sdn. Bhd.

Launched a book as an editor in collaboration with Emerald Publishing entitled, “Green Entrepreneurship and Green Finance Practices: Avenue for Sustainable Business Startups in Asia”.
