The Environmental and Social Responsibilities (ESR) Office of Youth Beyond Boundaries (YBB) UCSI recently organised the much-anticipated "Terrafix: Zero Waste Festival." The event, held at UCSI's campus, was aimed at raising awareness of zero waste practices among UCSI students and educating them on practical ways to reduce waste. The festival's main objectives were to inspire sustainable habits and encourage participants to take action towards waste reduction. 

About 30 companies were present at UCSI Career and Co-Op Placement Fair offering over 700 internships and 1300 full-time positions to our UCSI University students. The hiring teams were from Maybank, Malaysia Aviation Group, Tune Protect, Alliance Bank, J&T Express, Huawei Technologies, Yamaha Music, RHB Bank, ExxonMobil, Public Bank, amongst others.

The "Beach Cleanup" event was held on 6 July as a build-up towards the World Cleanup Day in September, has achieved resounding success, leaving a significant impact on the environment and coastal habitat preservation. The event was organised by ICE-UCSI. 

With the theme - “Empowering Potential: Youth Beyond Boundaries”, YBB FLES 2023 aims to expose you to current industry trends, inspire you to be the next empowering leaders and catalyse positive changes in Malaysia.

UCSI impressed upon its school students the importance of SDG today and gave various examples on how they can produce projects that promote sustainability. Within the next 10 days, the students having been segregated into groups, are to present each of the group ideas (to be judged by UCSI and partners) and to implement them in the coming academic year.

YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, Pro-Chancellor of UCSI University recently launched a Harmoni-Mesra book at UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus. As the university champions the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the book was one of the initiatives to promote SDG 16 — Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. It also helps to promote the principles of Rukun Negara's goal and encourage others to learn from the experiences of a Harmoni-Mesra campus.
