LIVE LECTURES WITH THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS EDINBURGH

UCSI medical students in Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Terengganu enjoy invaluable opportunities to connect with leading medical practitioners through live lectures with the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (RCPE). Organised regularly since 2014, UCSI students gained insights from leading academics, medical researchers and their overseas counterparts. UCSI’s commitment as a live streaming centre has also been recognised by the RCPE. The RCPE is one of three Royal College of Physicians in Britain that sets the specialty training standards for doctors and physicians.

TOP 100 WORLDWIDE FOR PERFORMING ARTS

UCSI’s Institute of Music (Imus) made history when it was ranked as a top 100 university in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018. Around 1,200 universities and institutes were evaluated in the discipline-based ranking and UCSI made the top 100 solely for its excellence in music, unlike other universities that also offer programmes in dance, drama, acting and theatre. The ranking also distinguishes UCSI as one of Asia’s top five institutions for music.

UCSI ALUMNI MAKE FORBES LIST

UCSI alumni Lim Yuet Kim, Lee Swee Lin and Suzanne Ling are in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2018 list for their contributions to social entrepreneurship through The Picha Project – their startup that empowers refugees through food preparation and catering operations. The trio started operations in 2016 with zero capital while they were still studying. Today, they have served more than 52,000 meals to leading companies across Malaysia. 50% of all revenue is disbursed to the refugee families and more than RM600,000 has been given back to date. UCSI taught them for four years.
