概述

几个世纪以来,人类生活品质的提升,及对矿物燃料发电资源的依赖,所导致的矿物燃料枯竭现象,已成为全球长期关注的课题。为了应对相关现象,人类必须从传统能源逐步转换至可持续资源,也就是可再生资源。可再生能源的使用可降低人类对矿物燃料的需求,并为人类提供一个更清洁的能源供应替代方案。 能源工程荣誉学士课程提供了传统能源和可再生能源的专业教育,让学生对于相关课题拥有更广泛的理解。此学士课程符合国家和国际目标,即通过培养熟练的能源工程师,达到解决全球能源问题的目标。 课程结构依循能源基础、能源的产生、能源储存、能源行业的不同环节之统整等课题而规划。该课程的重点是对传统能源(如:天然气、煤炭和原油)与可持续资源(如沼气、生物质能、风能、太阳能、水力和其他新兴能源)的深入研究。
